Canterbury Nissan MOT Workshop

Our works have helped to improve operational efficiency and the range of services available to Canterbury Nissan’s customers

Canterbury Nissan MOT Workshop

Our third project at Canterbury Nissan has transformed an outdated showroom into a new MOT workshop.

Completion of the new MOT workshop allowed Nissan to decant their existing premises ready of refurbishment.

Ultimately the project has enhanced the service Nissan can provide its customers and improve operational efficiency. Works included adding a new training room; creating a new sales office; refurbishment of existing WCs and kitchen. The main showroom area was also refurbished to make it suitable for Used Commercial vehicles displays.

During works an existing metal staircase was carefully removed and set aside for re-use by our client. Subsequently works included infilling a void to the mezzanine floor with timber joists creating a seamless run through at the same level as the existing first floor. Reconfiguration of the mezzanine floor has provided additional welfare and safe storage.

The site is situated within Canterbury’s Vauxhall Industrial Estate so works had to be planned to respect the needs of the local community within the immediate vicinity of the site.

This included planning deliveries to avoid clashes with vehicle movements associated with other car dealerships and the Maybrook Retail Park, as well as minimising disruption to residential properties directly behind the site.
