Description
A demonstration project to incorporate an ‘offsite’ panelised solution, the ‘Housewrap’ external wall system (mineral wool). The block also comprised a mix of tenures, providing an opportunity to develop processes that explore the needs of private owners whilst retaining some of the leverage and control of social housing providers who are motivated to retrofit their stock to a net zero standard. Other innovations investigated included heating/ventilation solutions that will enable lower-cost, high-performance retrofit in multi-tenure low- rise flats taking a “whole building” net zero retrofit approach.
